I joined Sand Dollar Wellness Center in 2018. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of practice experience. My passion is to empower others to achieve their fullest potential. I work with a range of family types such as birth, foster, adoptive, and blended families. I have extensive experience in addressing a variety of issues including, parent/child attachment, parent/child conflict, sibling conflict, peer/social skill difficulties, aggression, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, adoption specific issues and sensory processing difficulties. I strive to stay current with the latest research and evidenced-based best practices. I draw from a range of trauma-informed and evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and play-based therapy, and the circle of security. I have also been trained at the Karen Purvis Child Developmental Institute as a trust-based relational intervention. I have a BSW and MSW in Social Work from the State University of New York and a Ph.D. fin Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
