I joined Sand Dollar Wellness Center in 2009 after moving from the New York City area. I have 14 years of experience in mental health and have worked in a variety of settings including residential, sober living, inpatient, in-home, mobile crisis, outpatient, and online through telehealth. I have worked with a variety of clientele and diagnoses ranging from psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, interpersonal strain, trauma, to behavioral and mood disorders. I specialize in helping clients identify and develop healthy coping mechanisms, personal wellness goals, and self-care regimens. I also help create individualized treatment plans in which clients are active participants in their own care. My approach draws from multiple sources including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt Therapy (GT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am currently training in the practice of EMDR, an evidence-based treatment for trauma. I earned a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from Fairfield University and my master’s degree in Social Work from New York University.
